Kevin Swerling

Kevin Swerling is a longtime entrepreneur and experienced operator in the recycling and environmental-services sector. As a Senior Leader of General Recycling Industries, Kevin helped lead the business with roots dating back to 1976 through significant growth, operational modernization, and investment in advanced processing technology, including a large-scale metal shredder. The company grew into a major regional recycling platform serving industrial and residential markets across multiple locations, to it’s divestiture to SECURE Waste in 2025.

Kevin continues to work in the recycling sector leading Alberta Environmental Rubber Products, Alberta’s largest scrap-tire recycling company, which transforms discarded tires into products used in construction, landscaping, roofing, and athletic applications. As a CA having studied at McGill University, Kevin brings VentureOut an owner’s perspective on capital-intensive growth, operational scale, sustainability, technology investment, business transition, and the work required to build an enterprise attractive to a strategic acquirer.
